Intercountry Adoption Centre is seeking Social Workers experienced in adoption assessments to join its specialist sessional social work team.
Intercountry Adoption Centre is a registered adoption agency with a proven track record in delivering adoption support services for prospective and experienced intercountry adopters, to adoptees and to birth families where the adoption has an international component. We have recently had a “Good” rating in our Ofsted inspection.
Since April 2009, the agency has established an intercountry adoption and assessment service on behalf of a number of Local Authorities in and around London. It is a service specifically for prospective adopters wishing to adopt from overseas.
We are seeking to expand our team of sessional social workers who will undertake assessments of suitability to adopt. A professional qualification and experience in assessing applicants for adoption is essential. Experience of intercountry adoption is highly desirable.
Applications are particularly welcomed from registered social workers who are competent in oral and spoken languages in addition to English.
