Adoption Support Workshops

IAC is from time to time commissioned by Local Authorities or Adoption Consortia to run a range of workshops for families in their area who have already adopted a child from overseas. One workshop only is designed for applicants waiting to adopt who have completed the assessment process.

Currently four themed workshops are offered:

• Exploring adoption with young children
• Intercountry adoption and schools
• Intercountry adoption and the teenage years
• Race, culture and difference

For waiting adopters we run a workshop entitled "Waiting, Matching and Meeting".

The workshops run as half day or evening sessions. If you are interested then please enquire.
