Inspection Report

Intercountry Adoption Centre is the only adoption support agency whose services are dedicated to support services to people whose lives are touched by intercountry adoption and to the adoption professionals involved in this specialist area of work.

IAC was inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspection (now joined with Ofsted), for the first time in March 2007. We were awarded an overall rating of “good” and the Commission rated as excellent our service delivery and management of the agency.  They reported that “Service users have described preparation service as ‘good and helpful’, ‘professional’ and an ‘excellent’ preparation course. Everyone interviewed said their expectations [of the services] were met and for some, their expectations were exceeded.”

We are proud to have been given such an endorsement for the agency and its services and are determined to build on this achievement over the coming years to the benefit of some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
