Our Staff team

IAC is staffed by a small team of salaried and volunteer workers comprising the Director, Training and Development Manager, Advice Line Manager, Senior Project Development Worker, Administrators, Sessional Advisors and Trainers. All IAC Advisors and most trainers are adoption practitioners who bring diverse perspectives to the organisation. Some also have a personal connection to adoption. Their previous and current collective experience of adoption practice and management includes:

• Preparation and Adoption Assessment work for domestic and intercountry adoption
• Adoption social work in State of origin, both domestic and intercountry
• Counselling in a general context and in relation to birth records
• Direct work with children
• Adoption Panel membership
• Children's Guardians

Our Board of Trustees and staff team are assisted by an Advisory Panel which offers specialist expertise on matters such as adoption and immigration law, counselling, child health and development, after adoption support, parliament and finance.
